Q : in which aspects caused Time Attendance system communication failure?
1. Wrong COM setting, COM chose to connect is not the COM port actually used.
2. Baud rate setting between computer COM and fingerprint T&A is different.
3. Fingerprint T&A is not connected to power or computer.
4 .Fingerprint T&A already connected but power off.
5. Wrong connected terminal No.
6. Data wire or converter can’t communicate.
7. Broken COM on computer.
1. Conflict between IP address and LAN.
2. Incorrect Internet wire connected to LAN (connected to computer with cross wire), it should connected to hub directly.
3. Communication way “Ethernet” may be “NO” others “YES” in T&A.
4. Switch on controller is on the side of RS232/485.
5. Low Internet speed.
6. Machine No of T&A not match with the No chosen on the software.
Q : when read attendance record, it shows failure or mistake on midway, although it’s ok while downloading fingerprint and password for management operating terminal.
Ans : such situations are possibly related to data wire, converter, or COM. Which decrease the Baud rate between computer and T&A. please set 38400 , 19200 or 9600, then read and write.
Q : why did T&A tweet “di di” sound after communication connected?
Ans : If use RS-232, computer Baud rate disaccords to T&A Baud rate setting, which results in abovementioned phenomenon.
If use RS-485, either two converter communication wire connected oppositely or adhere together .
Q : How to connect T&A machine with LAN or WAN?
Ans : we have our own IP address; you can connect the T&A machine with PC through software, and then shares the same IP address.
